Last month the NHF launched its latest equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) report reviewing data across the housing association workforce in England. This research provided an updated picture of representation across the sector, revealing where progress has been made and where greater focus is still required to drive change.
This comes after the UK Government drive for the ‘Golden Thread’ which was introduced as a tool to manage buildings as holistic systems and allow people to use information to safely and effectively design, construct and operate their buildings. ‘A robust golden thread of key information’ should be ‘passed across to future building owners to underpin more effective safety management throughout the building life cycle’.
Both data collection are being used to better improve our EDI and H&S in the housing sector.
